About Me.

I am a recent BA graduate from the Costume Design and Construction course at Nottingham Trent University, where I achieved a 1st Class Honours. My specialism and interest is in historical costuming and I thoroughly enjoy researching and understanding different eras and cultural influences.

During my studies I have researched, designed and constructed garments from many different time periods, gaining a wide range of sewing skills, including historical sewing. I have a talent for designing, sourcing and styling at a professional level and have a good eye when it comes to authenticity of materials, fabrics and colours, which I was able to put to practise during the course.

Everything I create is to a high standard due to my hardworking nature, planning and sharp attention to detail. From my studies I have gained a thorough understanding of the design process and the extensive analysis needed to make the correct choices for a character's costume. I am most passionate about design, styling and sourcing and hope to explore this further in my career.
